This site will deal with poverty and homelessnes
We are in the process of setting this site up to deal with the problems and solutions of poverty in British Columbia. We are currentl subscibed to various International Mailing Lists.
We are part of The Homeless People's Network & The Plight of Streetkids Worldwide. We also have a link to another web site dealing with poverty issues here in B.C. Another resource page for Low income people is: The owner of this site is also one of B.C.'s poor people. I am currently on welfare and am living way below the poverty level. In the last 10 years the rates for Social Assistance have decresed from $575.00 in 1985 to $500.00 for single employable people. While the cost of living has increased. The owner of the site too was at one point in his life, homeless.
